RLS was approached by Inclusive Design Architects and CKR Electrical Engineers to do lighting simulations and to supply the lights required for the upgrade of the Afrocentric Head Office and surrounding exterior areas.
GENERAL AREAS:
The Linear Aldo was suspended over the reception desk and the Linear Micro was installed between the wood paneling behind the reception and at the entrance to the executive area. wood-clad Linear Mini’s were suspended in the double-volume restaurant area. RGB colour-changing Vala accent lights were used to ‘wash’ the sides of the main lift. The Nasa was used in the back of house areas. The Zen pendant was installed over the executive coffee counter.

INTERIOR OFFICE SPACE AND BOARDROOMS:
Luxon 600x600 and Signa Uno were used to light the general office areas. Elux downlights were placed around the edge of the boardrooms and the Dega was positioned over the boardroom tables.
EXTERIOR AREAS:
The Piazza double and single amenity lights were supplied to light up the parking areas and boundary. The Geo bulkhead was placed strategically on the building façade. The Linear Mini was installed under the main entrance and guard house porticos. Blue-lensed, narrow-beam Cubica trunions were placed at the base of the steel columns supporting the entrance portico. RGB colour-changing Vala accent lights were used to ‘wash’ the walls at the executive entrance.
