YETHU CITY APARTMENTS
PRETORIA | GAUTENG
RLS was approached by the Monty Miller Associates Consulting Electrical Engineers to propose a lighting solution for this project.
Interior:
The challenge was that all the electrical conduits in the building were surface mounted which created wiring challenges. RLS was requested to develop a system where the power conduit entered and exited certain of the lights, with the power feed running through these lights.
Inani fittings were used in the passages an the bedrooms and the Nasa was used in the basement. Yellow powder-coated Linear Mini was used in the entrance areas. The yellow had to match the yellow theme of the development. Black Linear Mini and Kibo 75 were supplied for the communal pause and kitchen areas. The Raco 68 was ceiling-mounted and used to light up an entrance area sign.
Exterior:
As it is a city center development, the only exterior lighting used was Solo bulkheads in the small central courtyard and Kuhle floodlights mounted on the building, to light up critical security areas.
