IMPERIAL WAREHOUSE
GLEN MARAIS | JOHANNESBURG
Imperial Warehouse in Glen Marais was built to increase capacity and efficiency for Imperial Logistics. CAI partnered with RLS to achieve the warehouse lighting requirements set out by Imperial Logistics. The warehouse has two distinctive areas, the racking area which forms the largest part of the warehouse, and the open area towards the front. The lux level required in both the racking and open areas was an average of 300 lux on the horizontal plane, with an average lux of 150 lux on the racking vertical plain. All this needed to be achieved from a fitting mounting point of 11500mm.
The Holda Pro was the ideal product for this project. Lighting simulations were carried out and due to the high efficiency of the Holda Pro, fewer luminaires were required to achieve the same results as the previous generation LED high bays. The versatile Nasa was used to provide uniform lighting underneath the mezzanine area within the warehouse. The Luxon prism 600X600 and the Mito 95 downlighters were used throughout the offices to create a comfortable and evenly illuminated working environment.
