To further assist in the quest for power reductions the ENCELIUM Lighting Control Management System was supplied. This is the first lighting management system Takealot has implemented on their premises.  It not only meets their lighting control requirements based on the demand to reduce energy consumption but also provides valuable live and historical visualization-based information such as energy consumption, heat mapping, and building occupancy. This info is made available to the facility managers and assists in reducing operational costs. The final step to completing our first ENCELIUM-based Lighting control system installation at Takealot was to run a fully autonomous process where the system interrogates each individual luminaire to determine its precise location and the influence this luminaire has on lux levels. This process is carried out in order to maximize the daylight harvesting efficiency of the system. As the luminaires are on all day due to a busy warehouse floor, daylight harvesting will provide higher energy savings than motion control. In other areas, we replaced Luminaires with outdated technology with LED Luminaires.
