UNION CASTLE BUILDING

CAPE TOWN | WESTERN CAPE

The restored Union Castle Building at the V&A Waterfront is a landmark where history meets contemporary design. As a protected heritage site, every detail of the renovation required precision, sensitivity, and respect for its original character, which made finding the right architectural lighting solution both challenging and immensely rewarding.
From the exterior façades to the reimagined interior spaces, our lighting was crafted to highlight the building’s timeless textures while elevating its modern functionality. The result is a carefully balanced blend of old-world charm and current-day clarity, a celebration of heritage brought to life through light.
