The new Prep Building successfully merges traditional values-based learning with a progressive, cutting-edge approach to learning. With large classrooms and an open learning philosophy, a light-filled space is achieved with the use of lots of glass allowing as much natural light as possible to enter the building. Collapsible center glass doors between the classrooms allows for interactive teaching. Our lighting solution needed to be functional, energy-efficient, intelligent and aesthetically pleasing. We custom designed and manufactured our Linear Pro to 6500mm long incorporating two sections of 2500mm providing 4000K LED light and a central non-lit section to accommodate the mounting of a WIFI signal extender. The luminaires are equipped with integrated Sensors for Motion Control and Daylight Harvesting, by implementing these 2 control strategies we were able to maximize the energy efficiency of the lighting system as well as providing an adaptive solution that can regulate its own brightness based on the amount of natural light entering the space.
