Somerset Mall

Somerset Mall is a 69,000 m² shopping mall situated alongside the N2 freeway near the towns of Somerset West and Strand.
The light levels on the floor of the mall needed to be increased, and this was achieved with indirect and direct bespoke circular pendants that created focal points throughout the mall with articulated pools of light.
RLS worked closely with Pamboukian LightDesign, KMH Architects and Rawlins Wales Cape Town to create an amazing lighting solution from the design concept, development and implementation of these bespoke circular pendants.

BESPOKE 2m PENDANT WITH UNO DOWNLIGHT & 3000K AND 4000K LED STRIPLIGHT
As you walk through the mall the bespoke pendants provide a welcoming experience for the shoppers. We utilized our Uno downlight modules along with a LED striplight. The Uno module in this circular architectural luminaire created a sophisticated lighting design. Slender lines of light set in an architectural environment are the essence of the striplight incorporated into this pendant, with its simple elegance and adaptability it accommodates most design applications.

In the key nodes of the mall these amazing pendants create a simple modern architectural lighting design.
