Constantia Office Park had outdated sphere luminaires on steel poles which had rusted. The upward light component of the sphere resulted in light pollution and inefficient light distribution. An energy audit was carried out and Regent suggested that the luminaires be replaced with the Challenger Post Top fittings with 70W Metal Halide lamps mounted on 3.5m mounting height Stepped Modern poles. The completed project resulted in the following: Number of luminaires reduced from over 700 units to under 450 Challengers and reduction of energy consumption by 65%.
