RLS was approached by Mott MacDonald PDNA to provide a solution to light the perimeter of the property. The brief was that the CCTV security solution needed to be incorporated into the pole. There could be no light spillage behind the pole on the outside of the boundary fence and that the poles should not be higher than 4m.
We achieved the requirements using the Regent Lumina 108W LED luminaire, 5000K, with the RLS362 spread lens option, achieving 25 lux between the poles.
The pole was custom manufactured with special outreach arms to mount the CCTV cameras, with a special 700mm x 475mm accessible base that was plinth mounted with a hinged and lockable access door to house circuit breakers and control units to operate the CCTV cameras. Additional Lumina luminaires with CCTV cameras were mounted onto the roof on custom mounting posts.
In addition, our Gamma 36W LED floodlights were supplied using our RLS749 lens configuration to achieve a vertically narrow yet horizontally wide beam spread to illuminate the concrete wings.
Cubica LED luminaires were mounted onto the steel U Channels illuminating the entrance of the building.
Linear LED luminaires were modified to provide not only forward light but also up and down lighting. These were installed onto all interior and exterior staircases and supplied with a battery indicator and emergency control gear.
