MTN STORE
TYGER VALLEY | WESTERN CAPE
MTN Store Tyger Valley was a directive issued from the MTN executives to create a completely different look and feel for their flagship stores. The Tyger Valley store was selected to be the prototype to determine if this concept would work as a role out to all flagship stores. Project Works was the design team that brought this concept to reality.
RLS worked closely with Project Works on the lighting elements to ensure the look and feel were met as well as achieving the required lighting levels throughout. An open soffit became part of the design of the store, so a track lighting solution was selected to minimize the conduit on the ceiling to keep a clean look. Elux 145 downlighters were installed in the shop front highlighting the yellow portal when walking into the store. A combination of Jura 1032 spots and Linear Mini 50 tracks were used to highlight certain areas while still giving a general wash of light in the store. Surface-mounted Sky pendants in various sizes were used within the shop front area to add to the premium design feel MTN wanted to achieve.
