3ARTS VILLAGE

PLUMSTEAD | CAPE TOWN

The 3Arts Theatre was founded by entertainment entrepreneur Ronnie Quibell, in 1964. In its time, the theatre hosted several international acts such as Tina Turner and Johnny Holliday. Over the years, it has been turned into a cinema, ice rink, nursery, and even a film studio. Rapfund bought the property in October 2019. Their vision was to give this iconic building a new look and serve a new purpose for another 60 years. KMH Architects approached RLS to assist them with the feature lighting of the mall while maintaining the minimum 100 lux level requirement. We proposed our Strata 1500, 1200 and 900 Triangle series pendants as we interpreted these as an “A” paying homage to the 3 ARTS Village.
