Ansara Architects approached RLS to provide an alternative to traditional office lighting for Avior Capital Markets in Cape Town. The Dega Lighting System with its "dark light" effect provided the lighting solution. The efficiency of the fittings and their low glare qualities complimented the architect's concept while also providing the appropriate lux levels on all work surfaces.
The Dega fittings were supplied as suspended fittings, mounted between decorative suspended baffles and acoustic panels throughout the office. The fittings tend to disappear between the baffles due to the antiglare optical reflectors but the light emitted effectively illuminates the space. All Boardroom fittings were supplied as push dimmable and all office lighting was supplied as standard on/off. The Nano surface mounted fittings were supplied as back of house fittings in the storerooms and kitchen areas.
